The IDC prepares you for the Instructor Examination (IE), which is conducted by a PADI Examiner. PADI application fees and IE fees are paid separately directly to PADI. Please note that PADI fees increase annually.

To enroll in the IDC, you must meet the following PADI requirements:
Current PADI Divemaster certification or qualifying certification from another organization
Minimum 100 logged dives with experience in night diving, deep diving and underwater navigation
18 years of age or older
Current medical statement signed by a physician within the last 12 months
Emergency First Response Instructor certification or qualifying training within 24 months
Certified as a diver for at least six months with no training standard violations
