Green Fins Dive Center Policy

Our Policy for Protecting Siquijor's Reefs

Last Frontier Dive treats responsible diving as a daily shop policy, not just a guest reminder. Siquijor's reefs, turtles, and marine life are part of the reason people travel here, so we brief every diver on how to enjoy the ocean without damaging it.

As a Green Fins Digital Member, we build reef protection into fun dives, Discover Scuba Diving, and PADI courses. Our team keeps groups small, chooses sites according to diver experience and sea conditions, and reinforces buoyancy, trim, fin control, and respectful wildlife distance before and during dives.

1

Brief before every dive

Guests are reminded not to touch coral or marine life, not to stand on reefs, and to keep gauges, fins, and cameras controlled.

2

Keep groups manageable

Small groups make it easier for guides and instructors to support buoyancy, pacing, and good underwater behavior.

3

Teach reef-friendly skills

Courses and refreshers include practical habits such as neutral buoyancy, horizontal trim, calm finning, and careful photo behavior.

What we ask from every guest

  • Do not touch coral or marine life
  • Do not stand on coral
  • Keep good buoyancy
  • Control fins, gauges, and camera
  • Do not chase, block, or stress animals
  • Do not move marine life for photos
  • Keep distance from turtles
  • Reduce single-use plastic
  • Take only photos, leave only bubbles

How the policy shows up

  • Reef-friendly briefing before dives
  • Site selection based on conditions and experience
  • Extra attention for beginners and rusty divers
  • Buoyancy-focused training recommendations when useful

When we may adjust a dive

  • Strong current or poor visibility
  • Experience level does not match a site
  • Repeated coral contact or unsafe behavior
  • Wildlife needs more distance or less pressure

Dive with care

We include reef-friendly guidance before fun dives, DSD, and PADI training.
